Miriam Heard Illustrations: As an illustrator, I have found that I am greatly influenced by many things, most of all my life experiences. Though I am very early in my artistic career, I believe that childhood is the most influential time in one’s life, and I often use this concept for my work. I have developed and am constantly working on refining my children-friendly style. I believe identifiable shapes, bold colors, and a sense of imagination are key features of my work.
